Oil Companies Buy Rights to Access Water Before Communities & Farmers

Posted by keelynet on March 26, 2009

This is a bit disturbing since so many news sites report that the next wars will be fought over water. Water for life or water for fuel?

Using public records, the report examines more than 200 water rights held by six energy companies, including Shell and ExxonMobil, which, it is estimated, are collectively entitled to divert at least 6.5 billion gallons of water from rivers in western Colorado, as well as almost 2 million acre-feet of water from the state’s reservoirs, which is enough to supply the Denver metro area for six years. Shale oil production is a water-intensive process: up to five barrels of water are consumed for every barrel of oil produced. This means that projects producing 1.55 million barrels of oil per day would require 378,000 acre-feet of water each year, compared to the Denver metro area’s consumption, which is less than 300,000 acre feet.” – Source

Birdseed a sore muscle cure?

Posted by keelynet on March 24, 2009

It was a beautiful day here in central Mexico, a bit hot but kept under control by periodic cooling breezes from Lake Chapala.

My lawyer called and said my FM3 visa had been successfully renewed for another year, so I hopped on my 125cc Honda and drove over to pick it up. Once that business was completed, time for lunch so went for a fat greasy burger with gouda cheese and fries with a Pepsi on ice, all for 50 pesos (less than $5US, but at the current exchange rate, about $2.50).

An American man and woman were sitting at one of the three outside tables and I’d seen them around before but didn’t know them. I sent a text message and noticed the man was looking at me wanting to say something, I said Hola and he said the same, then asked if my bracelet worked.

I had bought a copper bracelet a few weeks back from a street vendor from Guadalajara. He wanted 80 pesos but I didn’t really need or want anything, so said 50 or nada…it was just two twisted pieces of #10 Romex solid core copper cable that had been beaten to make a very nice bracelet. But I had periodic pains from all the typing I do so what the heck, buy it.

bootsie200Told him I didn’t really know if it worked but come to think of it, I hadn’t had any muscle pains lately though had changed from my right hand to my left so when I play with my 13 month old puppy, it won’t hurt him as we do get a bit rough.

birdseedAs we continued talking, he said he had sore muscles every now and then but had visited Jorgina in a local sports store and she told him to buy some birdseed, the kind you feed to canaries and make a tea to drink or a poultice to rub on the sore muscle. He said he made a poultice, applied it and the muscle pain went away in a short time…

Neither of us ever heard of that so I took note to pass it on here in case anyone has muscle pains they might want to try it on. The man said Jorgina told him it was an old Mexican folk remedy.

I did a search to see if I could find anything about this, particularly a study but only found one item about heating birdseed in sewn pillows to apply to sore muscles;

“Three or four years ago I made all my family bird seed warmers and they are still raving about them. I am not much of a seamstress but it was pretty simple and inexpensive. It is a rectangular shaped sack of bird seed with an outer flannel covering and a rope to tie closed and hang on a door knob. You heat it in the microwave for 3- 5 minutes and wha-la: a warmer for sore muscles that lasts a long time.

You need:
-Bird seed – preferably seed with no sunflower seeds.
-Material for the birdseed to be totally sewn into.
- Flannel material for the outside like a pillow case with a rope sewn into the top to tie it closed.
- A cute note tied to it with directions

Basically it’s made like a pillow but stuffed with birdseed and the pillow case is flannel with a rope for hanging it on the door.”

And another site gives a slightly different composition;

Supplies you need

* 1 sock (this is where the odd sock works great.
* 2 cups, wheat, rice, barley or bird seed
* If you don’t want to sew the opening of the sock you will need rubber bands.

Take your sock and fill it with whatever seeds that you like. I prefer barley but I don’t know why. Leave enough room to either sew the top or put a rubber band around the top. You could leave enough room and make a knot in the top. The problem with rubber bands is that when they get a little old they have a tendency to break. If the rubber band breaks then you will have seeds all over the floor. They are a mess to clean up.

Heat in the microwave for 1 ½ minutes on high.

I didn’t know anything about this ‘birdseed for muscle pain’ treatment, so didn’t think to ask him if it was as heating pads or was it something in the seeds when made into a poultice and rubbed on at normal temperatures. Have to try it if I get muscle pains.

But usually I use MSM which works really well. I can’t and won’t recommend anything to anyone, but I’d give it a shot for myself if I had the need. I love folk remedies, especially if they are effective.

Jerk Drive

Posted by keelynet on March 24, 2009

I’ve always been somewhat of a student of unidirectional drives. These involve methods to redirect force into a single direction, which can be sideways, down or UP. There is much literature on the subject and several patents but I won’t go into those, leaving you to do your own research.

I found something in an old book which I’d not seen before and so am sharing it with you;

In certain curious boat races held at some English regattas as explained by Professor W.W. rouse Ball, in his ‘Mathematical Recreations and Problems’, he says;

“…it affords a somewhat curious illustration of the fact that commonly a boat is built so as to make the resistance to motion straight forward less than that to motion in the opposite direction.

The only thing supplied to the crew is a coil of rope, and they have (without leaving the boat) to propel it from one point to another as rapidly as possible. The motion is given by tying one end of the rope to the afterthwart and giving the other end a series of violent jerks in a direction parallel to the keel.

The effect of each jerk is to compress the boat. Left to itself the boat tends to resume its original shape, but the resistance to the motion through the water of the stern is much greater than that of the bow, hence, on the whole, the motion is forwards. I am told that in still water a pace of two or three miles an hour can thus be attained.”

A practical experiment to show how redirected centrifugal force can produce drive is seen here;

My Quest for Practical Gravity Control

Posted by keelynet on March 22, 2009

wirescreen108Quite simply, Gravity is NOT a pull, Gravity is a PUSH from the zero point energy field into mass.

Think of it as bubbles under water where the water is pressing on the bubble trying to implode it.

In the case of matter, zero point energy pushes into the neutral centers of mass to not only create it but also give it materiality.

We are held to the planet like wind pushing flies against a wirescreen.

As zero point energy flows into the neutral centres of mass, the effect of gravity and weight are produced. We can RESTRICT this flow using technology to reduce and even cancel ‘weight’.

I am seeking funding to re-discover how to control the flow of gravity into local mass to produce weight reduction for practical use, based on my own discoveries of gravity and how it works. Make me an offer. – Source

Another end of America article

Posted by keelynet on March 21, 2009

Does it ever stop? Can’t we do a Baron Munchausen and pull ourselves out of this swamp by successiver jerking on our bootstraps??? Or just let Dr. Obama Strangelove and his crew hose it all…

obamarocket“U.S. law-making is riddled with slapdash, incompetence and gamesmanship.

Helicopter Ben Bernanke’s Federal Reserve is dropping trillions of fresh paper dollars on the world economy,

the President of the United States is cracking jokes on late night comedy shows,

his energy minister is threatening a trade war over carbon emissions,

his treasury secretary is dithering over a banking reform program amid rising concerns over his competence

and a monumentally dysfunctional U.S. Congress is launching another public jihad against corporations and bankers.

As an aghast world — from China to Chicago and Chihuahua — watches, the circus-like U.S. political system seems to be declining into near chaos.

Through it all, stock and financial markets are paralyzed. The more the policy regime does, the worse the outlook gets.

The multi-ringed spectacle raises a disturbing question in many minds: Is this the end of America?” – Source

Energy Beams from the Eyes

Posted by keelynet on March 20, 2009

All those times we read and actually FEEL when someone is looking at us, now apparently proven with equipment.

eyebeamdetect108“Noted psychiatrist and author Colin A. Ross, M.D., today announced his patent application for a system to detect the electromagnetic energy emitted by the human eye. Dr. Ross has been researching a new science and medicine focused on the human body’s electromagnetic field, which will be detailed in an upcoming book, “Human Energy Fields.” In his research, Dr. Ross has discovered proof that the eye emits electromagnetic energy that he calls an “eyebeam.” He calls his invention an Electromagnetic Beam Detection System for which he has filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. “The experimental proof of the reality of the human eyebeam is crucial in developing the science of human energy fields,” said Dr. Ross. “The existence of the human eyebeam has been dismissed by psychologists, physiologists, physicists and virtually all modern scientists. This represents a big step forward.” According to Dr. Ross’ application, the electromagnetic beam detection system can be used as a switch and can turn on or off any electrical device. It functions like a clapper light, but uses the electromagnetic energy emitted through the eyes instead of the sound of a hand clapping. Dr. Ross has sent the link for the U.S. Patent Office application to James Randi (www.randi.org) and is waiting to hear from him about the status of his $1 Million Paranormal Challenge, in which he claims that he can make a tone sound out of a computer using a beam of energy he sends out through his eyes. Dr. Ross’ proposed Challenge protocol is available on his web site (www.rossinst.com). / Dr. Ross’ patent application for the EBDS can be viewed at: http://patft.uspto.gov/ Click on: Publication Number Search Enter: 20090046246

Solar cells from donuts and tea

Posted by keelynet on March 20, 2009

Incredible, who would have thought such complex chemicals were in the foods we eat and drink?

“It sounds unbelievable, but it is true. You can harvest most of what you need for a simple solar cell from powdered donuts and tea. Powdered donuts have nanoparticles of titanium dioxide which is a “high band gap semi conductor”. This means that it can be used to make solar cells. The tea is simply used to dye the material so it can pick up the visible spectrum. The process is a bit too involved to be something you would just toss together in the field, but it’s cute nonetheless.

The Pious Fighting death the hardest

Posted by keelynet on March 20, 2009

If people believe so much in a heaven that they hope to go to after death, then WHY RESIST it when the time comes????

lifehold108“People with strong religious beliefs appear to want doctors to do everything they can to keep them alive as death approaches, a US study suggests. Researchers followed 345 patients with terminal cancer up until their deaths. Those who regularly prayed were more than three times more likely to receive intensive life-prolonging care than those who relied least on religion. The team’s report was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. It suggests that such care, including resuscitation, may make death more uncomfortable. Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine found that treatments such as ventilator support, resuscitation, having a feeding tube and non-palliative chemotherapy were associated with more psychological and physical distress. The patients’ chances of dying in their preferred place were also reduced. / (If heaven awaits, LET GO!!! – JWD)” – Source

Spider bite cures paraplegic

Posted by keelynet on March 20, 2009

I love stories of ‘miracle’ cures like this. People have used venom and altering the ph content of the blood for amazing results. A mexican friend told me there was man in his 30′s here who had a stroke. His right hand and arm curled into a useless position, his head tilted to the right and he drooled and could not talk clearly.

rattlesnake88One evening he was walking and reached down to pick up something near a field when a snake (vibora) bit him on his paralyzed arm. He shook the snake off and got back to his home where his family called a doctor. He said within a matter of an hour, the venom went into the hand and arm causing them to uncurl and he again regained control of his neck muscles. He stopped drooling and the paralysis was gone without doing anything to try to extract the venom!!!

spideranim1“As a result of a motorcycle accident, David Blancarte was confined to a wheelchair for 21 years. Then a brown recluse spider bit him, and he was taken to the hospital… “I’m here for a spider bite. I didn’t know I’d end up walking,” he says. A nurse noticed David’s legs spasm and ran a test on a whim. “When they zapped me, I felt the current, I was like ‘whoa, whoa’ I yelled.” He felt the current and the rush of a renewed sense of hope. “She says, ‘your nerves are alive. They’re just asleep,’” David says. Five days later, David was walking.’ – Source
