What a fascinating idea. I have seen a report where Tesla was supposed to have illuminated the gases in the air to light up his lab. Here an artificial Aurora Borealis over designated areas could be a reality. Wonder what ever happened to it?
“A NEW radiance may soon pour-down from the night sky, dispelling the darkness and changing the life of mankind in the future. This light, the brilliant glow of activated gases in the Ionosphere, is now a definite scientific possibility. Professor Etienne Vassy, Maitre de Conference of the Faculty of Sciences, Sorbonne University, Paris, has set imaginations soaring with his new theory. He proposes to shoot a power ray 50 miles into the air, up into the thin gases of the Ionosphere, activating these gases and causing them to glow with a neon-like light. An artist’s conception of this effect upon the business section of New York City is shown in the accompanying photograph. In this island of light, people could work without artificial illumination.” - Source

In the past, there have been reports of UFOs hovering over power lines, perhaps they are recharging. I have also seen reports of them sucking up water from lakes and some even claim they can ‘burn sand’ for fuel. Ken Shoulders built a model UFO that flew around his lab and would home in on a special recharging outlet to restore power, then take off again. It had a capacitive sensor so that anyone who came near it would cause it to move away.
“The AFRL is developing an electric motor-powered micro air vehicle (MAV) that can “harvest” energy when needed by attaching itself to a power line. It could even temporarily change its shape to look more like innocuous piece of trash hanging from the cable. AFRL’s initial aim is to work out how to make a MAV flying at 74 kilometres per hour latch onto a power line without destroying itself or the line. In addition, so as not to arouse suspicion, AFRL says the spy plane will need to collapse its wings and hang limply on the cable like a piece of wind-blown detritus. Much of the “morphing” technology to perform this has already been developed by DARPA, the Pentagon’s research division. Technologies developed in that program include carbon composite “sliding skins”, which allow fuselages to change shape, and telescopic wings that allow lift to be boosted in seconds by boosting a wing’s surface area.” - Source

With all the new materials such as teflon and nanoparticles, combined with super elastic, super springy bands and weights, surely we can make a gravity fed wheel work?
“A “BALL power wheel” which is supposed to turn continuously because it is always unbalanced is just one of the many interesting “perpetual motion” models on exhibit in the Hall of Science of A Century of Progress. In spite of the fact that centuries of effort have failed to produce a single working perpetual motion machine, inventors continue wasting time and money on the idea. This exhibit is intended to show in a convincing manner just why it is impossible to construct such a device. Though many of the models run a surprisingly long time, friction eventually stops every one.” - Source

I like what this guy is saying but there needs to be another option, specifically, if Ron Paul does not win the nomination, it would be irrelevant if all supporters simply write him in for President.
In the remote chance he gets nominated, he still has to run for the office, but if the voting system is swamped with write in votes, the chances are much better that he will be our next President.
So, STAY ON TARGET, USE THE FORCE and write him in.
“…the deeper reason to support Ron Paul is a simple one. The great forgotten principles of the current Republican party are freedom and toleration. Paul’s federalism, his deep suspicion of Washington power, his resistance to government spending, debt and inflation, his ability to grasp that not all human problems are soluble, least of all by government: these are principles that made me a conservative in the first place. No one in the current field articulates them as clearly and understands them as deeply as Paul. He is a man of faith who nonetheless sees a clear line between religion and politics. More than all this, he has somehow ignited a new movement of those who love freedom and want to rescue it from the do-gooding bromides of the left and the Christianist meddling of the right. The Paulites’ enthusiasm for liberty, their unapologetic defense of core conservative principles, their awareness that in the new millennium, these principles of small government, self-reliance, cultural pluralism, and a humble foreign policy are more necessary than ever - no lover of liberty can stand by and not join them. He’s the real thing in a world of fakes and frauds. And in a primary campaign where the very future of conservatism is at stake, that cannot be ignored. In fact, it demands support. Go Ron Paul! - Source
