In our ever more privacy invaded lives, this could be very useful but leads to other potential paranoiac relief devices, such as a device to let you know when you are being imaged by a camera or videocam, whether for recorded or live feed, a device that lets you know if you are being picked up by satellite, a device to let you know if you are being listened to with a microphone or hidden ‘bug’, etc.;
“Over on Boing Boing Gadgets, our Joel has found a battery-powered, WiFi-detecting t-shirt from ThinkGeek that lights up when you’re near a live network. Like Joel, I want a t-shirt that can distinguish between closed and open nets.” - Source

Good thing it’s just waste water or Homer Simpson would be cringing at this news;
“Beer batteries create energy from bacteria that feed on waste water. The technical term for them is “microbial fuel cells” (MFCs), and they earned the nickname beer batteries because beer company Fosters has funded the development of MFCs in Australia that run on waste water produced by the beer-making process. The best part about beer batteries, though, is that you can make them at home, based on instructions developed by a high school student named Abbie Groff. She won an international science fair prize for her work.” - Source

I’m more than a bit concerned with my RSS feed experiment on KeelyNet. Since implementing it about 6 days ago, it has reduced the number of website visitors by about 500-700 and consequently reduced the Ad income by 1/3rd to 1/4th the normal earnings. Not good. So I’ll run it this weekend as a final test and then probably kill the RSS feed since its hurting me instead of helping like I’d hoped. I can’t afford to play around with something that isn’t at least UNITY, though my hopes are for earnings OVERunity and people just don’t seem to care enough to exercise that mouse button to make that happen.
